Quad 44 RCA

The Quad 44 has five inputs, Disc, Tape 1 and 2, Radio and Auxiliary, which will properly terminate virtually all applicable program sources available now and for the foreseeable future.

The five inputs are interchangeable, so any combination of inputs can be obtained, and options such as moving coil pickup or microphone inputs can be included. The 44 has tone controls, consisting of filter, bass and tilt, which enable the listener to correct those acoustic problems which are susceptible to shaping the frequency response. Used intelligently these controls can improve the results obtained from almost any program. The amplifier's performance meets the Simple Quad criterion: the program transmitted through the unit will suffer no audible degradation - in other words, with the filter switch in the Cancel position there will be no audible difference between the program at the input and output of the unit, compared at identical levels.

This is true for all inputs when used with their specified source impedances and within the limits of their input signal. The Quad 44 will sound no better or worse than the program fed into it. The construction and inherent reliability continue in the Quad tradition and reflect care in both design and workmanship. It is extremely unlikely that the unit will become obsolete, as any future developments in program source or circuit technology can easily be accommodated by simply changing input modules.
