This model of the famous battleship "Jaime I" is in very good condition. This model, dating from around 1920, is protected by a wooden display case with a lid. The entire model is original, except for the interior fabric, which has been restored.
The acorazado Jaime I It was the third in a series of three battleships built for the Spanish Navy in the early 20th century. It was the last of the series to be delivered to the Navy, although this did not prevent it from participating in the Rif War. At the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in 1936, it remained loyal to the Spanish Republic and participated in some operations of the conflict, but on June 17, 1937, it was destroyed by an internal explosion during repair and maintenance work that was being carried out.
